May 13, 2025

Communicating science – for our alumnus Erika Keil, this is something she is really passionate about, especially when it comes to being a role model for women in STEM.

Erika recently completed her PhD as part of the IMPRS-APS program in Prof. Jürgen Hauer’s “Dynamic Spectroscopies” group at the Technical University of Munich, where she is now continuing her work as a postdoctoral researcher.

In this interview, Erika shares insights into her research as a spectroscopist, advice for new PhD students and her view on the importance of science communication.
