Block Lectures

The primary objective of block lectures („Blockvorlesungen“) is to present a concentrated and highly specialized series of lectures over a span of 4 to 5 days. This format provides an intensive and advanced learning opportunity that is accessible to doctoral students from all participating universities.

In the past, topics covered during block lectures included for example:
  • Attosecond physics
  • Radiation therapy and imaging
  • Machine learning
  • Theoretical aspects of femtochemistry
  • Quantum opto-acoustics

A credit point is awarded for participation in an IMPRS-APS block lecture or seminar series, including signing in for each day of the event.
