Deep Dive into Photon Science

April 04, 2025

Over the past two days, the second part of our block lecture series took place in Munich.

A week of inspiring workshops, presentations and lectures lies behind us. After kicking off with the Annual Meeting at Schloss Ringberg, we dove into the second part of our block lecture series, held over the past two days.

For this segment, we were happy to have Jürgen Hauer, Martin Schultze and Marcus Ossiander as our speakers on board.

Jürgen Hauer, one of the IMPRS-APS research group leaders at TUM, delivered a lecture titled “From transient absorbtion to 2D electronic spectroscopy”. Meanwhile, Martin Schultze, another IMPRS-APS group leader from TU Graz, shared his expertise about “Attosecond spectroscopy of charge and spin dynamics”. His part of the block lecture additionally featured a collaborative and interactive atto-paper session. We were also pleased to welcome Marcus Ossiander, a former IMPRS-APS student now at TU Graz, who gave a full day tutorial on the “Basics and Design of Optical Metasurfaces”.

A big thank you to all the lecturers for their dedication in advancing the knowledge of our doctoral candidates in the field of advanced photon science!
