Education

The educational program of IMPRS-APS focuses on two primary objectives: Firstly, research-specific lectures accelerate doctoral students' understanding of cutting-edge developments in their fields. Secondly, a robust foundation in both fundamental and interdisciplinary knowledge allows students to approach their scientific inquiries from a broader intellectual perspective.

Most lectures are delivered by IMPRS-APS group leaders as part of their teaching responsibilities at their respective universities. Additionally, seminars led by distinguished visiting experts enrich the regular lecture offerings. The annual meetings of IMPRS-APS also present an educational opportunity, fostering an exchange of ideas among doctoral students from various groups and thus creating a stimulating scientific environment.
