  • Room: Herbert Walther Lecture Hall
Do you ever wonder about the quantum electrodynamics aspects of strong laser–matter interactions? Strong field phenomena have fascinated scientists since the emergence of high-power lasers more than half a century ago, providing a foundation for research in atomic, molecular, and optical physics, as well as in attosecond science, nonlinear optics, and ultrafast optoelectronics. Although classical electromagnetic descriptions have long been sufficient, recent developments in fully quantized approaches are opening new perspectives. [more]
