IMPRS-APS students visit IPP

Impressions from a fusion facility

November 25, 2024

On November 25, PhD students from IMPRS-APS and several other International Max Planck Research Schools (IMPRS-QST, IMPRS-MPA/MPE, IMPRS-EPP) visited the Max Planck Institute for Plasma Physics (IPP) in Garching.

The tour, led by PhD student Federico Stefanelli, explored several key facilities at the institute, including the ASDEX Upgrade Experiment, the control room, the energy center, and the visitor center, providing valuable insights into cutting-edge fusion research.

Thanks to the IPP and in particular our guide Frederico Stefanelli for hosting us!
