From research to real-world applications
Our IMPRS-APS students visited the company OmegaLambdaTec last Wednesday.
Last week, our doctoral candidates had the opportunity to visit OmegaLambdaTec, where they gained valuable insights into the company's work and engaged in meaningful discussions about innovative projects and career paths.
The visit featured a diverse range of project presentations, from smart grid optimization to inverse design in photonics, predictive control, and 3D modeling for mining areas, which sparked our researchers’ interest.
In addition, the intensive exchange, networking, and discussions about career paths in data science and applied science were particularly valuable for our students, offering them new perspectives on these fields.
We were especially delighted to reconnect with our former research group leader, Boris Bergues, and Johannes Schötz, a former doctoral candidate, who shared their experiences and expertise with us.
A big thank you to OmegaLambdaTec for hosting our researchers and providing them with a firsthand look at how science and technology come together to drive innovation at your company!
