Peter Hommelhoff receives Otto-Hahn-Preis
Congratulations to our research group leader Peter Hommelhoff for this achievement!
Peter Hommelhoff - one of our research group leaders at IMPRS-APS and professor at Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität München - has been awarded this year’s Otto-Hahn-Preis for his groundbreaking work on the ultrafast control of electrons and the establishment of new areas of research associated with this.
The Otto-Hahn-Preis - jointly awarded by the Deutsche Physikalische Gesellschaft e. V. (DPG) , the German Chemical Society (GDCh), and Stadt Frankfurt am Main - honors exceptional scientific achievements in chemistry, physics, and applied engineering.
Much of Peter Hommelhoff’s research focuses on the light-matter interaction at the fastest time scales, pushing the boundaries of what is possible with ultrafast optics. We’re proud to see such pioneering work being recognized - congratulations on this remarkable honor!
